Your image reminded me of climbing Uluru (Ayes Rock) many years ago, with the aid of a chain. I think climbing it is now banned, because the local indigenous mob not only disliked the sacred site being regarded as a tourist adventure, but also because they were concerned at the consistent loss of life over the years. I think it reached 37.
In the image you can see my indomitable wife, totally unconcerned about the steep descent awaiting her.
