They were at a home I went to do some basic work at. Just some simple lighting and plumbing. When I saw the wascally wabbits I dropped my tools and almost broke the glass globe on the over head light. Then the renters told me they can walk right up to the wascally wabbits as they have been feeding them. I get all happy seeing any wildlife start acting like a little kid. As long as they aren’t the type that can kill me.

The wife and I were in Spain recently and went on a canyon tour/hike in Málaga and these were some olive trees. Something about the dead tree stood out to me. IMG_7258.jpeg IMG_7248.jpeg

I never took the time to clean this area as it’s unused and as you can see I won’t be moving rocks my hand but it gets over run with weeds and vines so I cleared it out but of course if I don’t get the roots out it’ll all return. I’ll probably mulch the area and plant some pretty flowers. But as I pull up the vine roots I’m reminded why root canals often fail. Back in the day dentists thought our teeth roots were pretty simple but with the advent of better tech they see now the roots branch off endlessly at microscopic levels and it’s possible we don’t have the tech yet to fully see all the roots in teeth. (Any dentist here please correct me I’m simply repeating what a dentist told me when I had two failed root canals on one tooth.

Anyway, an inch of this was above ground everything else came up as I pulled it and this is a small one. No wonder vines are so difficult to get rid of. When I started this project you couldn’t see any rocks here. Vines are a pain but you gotta give them in Aplus in survival

You can tell that it's nearly summertime here in Oklahoma. The horny toads have come out.

I have a colony of these guys in my yard. The first two are of a small juvenile I spotted by my shed a couple of days ago, and the last two are of an adult that was on my front porch yesterday afternoon.

The dark foliage on my plum tree is now fully in, and the palms are shedding.

Very cute.. we'd call that a thorned lizard rather than a toad

Wow is that common? I hate to say it but we have so many squirrels it’s not that no one cares about them I think we get annoyed at them raiding our bird feeders. We certainly do call or bring some animals we see wounded but we are more apt to ignore a squirrel, maybe we are cold hearted in my area.

Looks like y'all have what we call English Longhorn. Down here there is the Texas variety. Sadly I don't have a photo in the old phone of one with a good long set of horns.
