I was going to go with Jeff...

but Harold will do.

I was thinking Phil. But I guess that too obvious.

If the OP wants a bonafide opinion on this watch, he should maybe send the picture and s# to Patek.

Good day to All! Could please someone advise about this watch from ebay? Understood that case is new, but what about the movement?

Someone has taken an old pocket watch movement, skeletonized and engraved it, then out a recently made dial on it, and stuffed it in a recently made case. These are known as pocket watch conversions, or marriage watches (marrying an old movement to a new case). If anything was actually made by Patek, it would only be the movement.

Having serviced some of these in the past, the work done on them is usually pretty crude, and they sometimes come with major problems.

Thanks to All! Already found this movement - very far from Patek (old Le Coultre with new engraving on it) cheap fake. Also interesting who gave 2K for this))

Hi Everyone,

My friend is looking for any details on this watch. All I have is the one photo. I've tried to find similar ones online but no luck. Anyone out there know?

Thanks,
MikE

Yes, it is the Neptune!!! Think about that the complicated version is casing the same (beautiful) caliber that the 5712 is casing (base on the 240)!!
