    Could someone please remind me of the name of that dial some manufacturers used in 1937-8 which had the 12 and 6 OUTSIDE the chapter ring please? As far as I remember, there was an Omega which caused some comment on these boards some time ago (which I can't find) and Vacheron also used the design

    I haven't seen the styles below in just 12 and 6 markings, but is this the style you are referring to?

    I think the OP means that the watch has it's 1-12 markers on the bezel, while the dial is devoid of such markings.
