    Hi All

Does anyone know if there's any special requirement to removing these casebacks - tools/wrenches, precautions etc.
Just want to have a look at the movement inside. Thanks

Got a way to pressure test the case afterwards?

Which one are you talking about? Vintage or modern?

Yes there is a special tool that interface with the edges of the caseback.

I think it depends on the piece. Some appear to use a normal caseback tool. The ceramics have the scalloped edges which I assume has to be sourced from Omega.

Why do you want to open a new watch?

Mine’s a Railmaster Trilogy and I would like to have a look at the movement running - just out of curiosity

I don't think the trilogy watches have naiad casebooks, I am pretty sure they are regular screw on. Is yours perfectly aligned? Most are not. I am pretty sure it is just screw on, my Seamaster trilogy isn't Naiad locked, nor the Speedmaster. Nevertheless I wouldn't advise taking it off. Here is a pic of the 8806 if you must see it, open it up at your peril.

I see. Wasnt sure if they had Naiad lock caseback to keep the logo orientated in the same position

I know. But it is better than nothing. Same movement. So you are welcome.

Its interesting to see that there’s SO much space between movement and case in that photo

Yes. Because the movement itself is small.

Standard caseback tool for that, of which there are more then a few types on Amazon. But as noted you need to understand the gasket requirements for that watch. I’m not sure if it’s reusable or not, or if you need grease for it.
