HI all - as I alluded to in my first post, it was my uncle and his Speedmaster that got me into watches and Omegas in particular. Sadly my Uncle passed away 3 years ago and the watch is now in my Auntie's possession. I promised when I got my hands on it to post it here for you info.

So here it is - 1964 105.012 - this was his daily wearer and I htink he bought it when he was rallying due to its connections with timing IMG_0303.JPG
Looks like the winder and lugs got replaced, though we still have to originals

Accordingly to my uncle, this is the original bracelet (we talked about this before he died, I'm not in Ouija!) and it is marked '1506'
    IMG_0307.JPG
He was quite a small slim guy so the bracelet isn't very big - not big enough for my 8" wrist!

Here are the opriginal lugs and winder - I think the pin broke
    IMG_0309.JPG

    The original seal?
    IMG_0310 (1).JPG
This is (I assume) the original crystal which is quite badly scratched - as I said, it was a daily wearer!
    IMG_0311.JPG
Here is the original warranty card - I know I have seen the original till receipt somewhere, I'll try and get that too! Think it cost around £50 which was probably a lot in the 1960s
    IMG_0312.JPG

A couple more pictures of it - I think the hands are all original! I wound it and it all works as it should - I don't think that it was serviced that long ago.

    Here are the instructions
    IMG_0316.JPG

So there you go - what are your thoughts guys and gals?

Amazing example and thanks for sharing these pics. A full setup, original owner Speedmaster is a treasure for sure. Wonderful that you have all the original parts and papers. Interestingly enough, an Ebay auction with a copy of the Speedie Manual, identical I think to yours, is ending in minutes as I write and is over $700 !!

    edit: Final price:
    Winning bid:
    GBP 1,001.00
    Approximately US $1,423.47

    Great piece!!

FYI those are pushers and crown not lugs and winder.

I’m also going to guess that a new seal not the original.

Very nice. I had to click on this thread once I read uncle in the heading. Most often a watch from an uncle ends up being a fake.

This is one awesome watch. Thanks for sharing.

Best "Uncle" watch I've ever seen.. completely awesome!! Keeping the original parts, booklets, receipt, etc. almost never happens. Your Uncle definitely did it right

And do you know, I don’t think that was his intention - to make it a classic. I think he just bought a really good watch that he liked and used it an respected it for the 50 or so years he owned and wore it

An absolute treasure. It’s rare to see a Speedmaster of this vintage with its original documentation.

Great watch! If it’s still in your Auntie’s possession, does she wear it? That would be one seriously cool Auntie :D
