Parents-to-be often get freaked out by how much kids cost. Generally not that much to start with. Apart from somewhere to sleep, nappies (diapers), a buggy and some clothes, and a few toys, babies tend not to need much expenditure early on. Nights out will be fewer so you'll save money that way, and holidays (vacations) with a baby tend not to be that much more expensive than without one - often they travel free up to the age of two or three.
It's only when you get to later years, maybe school fees, college etc that things get more pricey, but even then, a Snoopy watch (at today's RRP)would only cover maybe a term's fees at a UK private school, or less than half a year's university fees at current rates of £9k per year.
My advice, FWIW, enjoy the watches, look forward to the baby, and if things get really tight then you can still sell them (the watches, not the baby). And if things are ok financially, then dangling the Silver Snoopy in front of the kid should encourage good behaviour until his or her 21st.
