I took my I took my 105.102 speedmaster I recently acquired in for it’s scheduled service today. It hadn’t been done yet, I literally bought it within hours of it being in shop - but I wanted to wear it a few times before being without it for a few weeks. End up at my other local watch shop trying on a few Seamasters, Grand Seiko, navitimer, etc. but ended up surprised and leaving with a brand new Seamaster after walking around with it on for a while. I have had my eye on a dive watch for a little while and it just felt so welcome on my wrist. I initially went in looking for a blue face dive watch, then almost bought the Nekton edition Seamaster, but then ultimately walked away with this. I think the next Items are a blue bezel Tudor pelagos and an IWC Pilot but those can come later this year. I left quite happy with this buy and am excited to have something I can “beat” around a little more than my marvelous Speedy.

Bonus - the wife didn’t make mention of it when I texted her a photo in the shop and she said go for it. Got home and she even complimented my new purchase. View attachment 1135139

I would say so - she has her own collection of diamonds so that generally keeps anything like this from becoming an issue.

Exactly! Very fortunate on that front. I tend to get sucked into (expensive) hobbies very easily - so she is used to it to a degree. The thumbs up is always a plus.
