Hi all. I've been looking for a gold Constellation in the local market for a while. Today I got this specific watch offered which I really liked and decided to go for it. While it's not a pie-pan, it's still a lovely watch. Reference 168.010/11 in solid 18k gold with a caliber 564.

Apart from some idiot marks on the back, which really boil my blood, the case doesn't seem overly polished and generally in good condition. So is the dial and the movement.

The crown is Omega signed, but I believe these originally came with a small "hidden" crown. I may or may not try to source an original one, depending on availability. The crystal is also signed.

How did I do?

Interesting watch @GuiltyGear

I'm fairly sure you have a 168.011 deluxe.
There have been a couple of this reference turn up with 'brutalist' dial indices designs more usually connected to other Constellation watches, like the C-cases and 168.018s.
The missing minute haches also point to it being a 'special'.

The lugs are polished but I don't think it detracts too much from being a very nice dress watch.

The correct crown is no longer available, so probably best to live with the one you have (much easier to use as well)

Value for money depend on the price paid.

Thanks for your input @Peemacgee. I haven't seen that many examples of a dial without minute markers; only a couple examples in google search. Is that an uncommon variation?

I paid 2200 EUR for it. Should have mentioned that in the original post.

Nice and never unmodern
And IMO realistic price. Without a loupe: probably with onyx inlays?

The ‘no minute hache’ variations are uncommon (and reserved for special dress watch versions - usually on solid gold dials) but not as uncommon as with those indices (the style of which is more usually found on a c-case and which I’ve never seen before on an .010/11)

The indices will be onyx inlaid or possibly jet.

€2200 for a solid gold deluxe Constellation is a pretty good deal IMHO.

Thanks, your comments are reassuring.

Unfortunately I don't yet have a macro lens to properly show the indices. With a loupe, the indices look similar to the illustration below. The black part does have dimensionality to it, but I lack the experience to tell the material.

did you check the dial carefully? 4-5 position and 2-3? Always darken or/and lighten the pictures by yourself!

The watch in my avatar is also a deluxe ref. 168.010/11 without minute markers. Great wrist presence and a timeless and classy design

Yup, I did. It does have 2 very thin scratches as shown below. The rest are scratches on the plexi.

OK  probably ask the seller to set exactly to 6:00 to check the positions of the hands...

The photos are mine btw, as I already have the watch with me. Here's one at 6:00.

Is it your watch? If so, what kind of bracelet is that? I know solid gold bracelets are terribly expensive, but curious to the options.

Beautiful watch. Thanks for sharing it and enjoy.

Thank you. Always a pleasure to share in OF.

I love these as well, their Seamaster companions have a bit of a better detailed case, yet this is also a simple and elegant looking case ... mmm

The idiot marks are really minimal, I think the case is easily at top 10% of gold cases - abuse is rampant for gold cases

As a reference both to myself and someone who may get this reference in the future, I weighed the gold case. In short, it's 20 grams of 18k gold. I weighed it at 19.91 total.

I zeroed the scale with a 34mm acrylic crystal:
