Folks, it's here. I have dreamed of owning an Omega auto and in recent years a new SM300 became my top pic. More so than the 2254 Seamaster pro and even more so than the Planet Ocean with 2500 movement. The SM300 just called out to me. The one and only Archer put her together so here is the unboxing video, which I just threw together today. Sorry about having to use a crappy old camera. The ex got the HD camera so that I could hold on to my vintage Super 8mm film camera. I'm a bit in awe right now and cannot believe I even have this baby. And here we have it on my wrist via a leather NATO... More pics...
I thought you were too ill to even care Marvellous what recuperative powers the SM300 gives the wearer isn't it And congrats on the video, very professional.
It took an hour to record the narration through all the coughing fits. Even now I am coughing like a TB patient. Sucks! But i have my grail piece.
Okay this (excellent) video explains the spike of emails overnight asking about SM300's.... Glad you are happy with it mate. Cheers, Al
Awesome... I hope you get to build a bunch more. Just take it easy!! We all want you healthy, wealthy and wise. I just wish that I had acces to an HD camera to place on a tripod for the video. Yikes... the quality was poor. Oh well. For the actual review (I'll do one slowly and hope to finish by Thanksgiving) I will use the iPhone 6 camera and do some cool time lapse and slow motion.
Hehehe.. More photos are coming. I'm just so wasted from this cold I don't have the energy to take the time to do them right. Maybe this weekend. I plan on doing two video reviews by the end of the year. One for the SM300 and one for the Seamaster Pro 200m Pre-Bond (a watch that just doesn't get enough love).
Congratulations. I love my SM300. Mine was put together by Watchco. I love having a vintage piece that is essentially brand new. Not everyone's cup of tea, perhaps when it comes to vintage. But it hits the mark for me. Enjoy!
Persco, great picture. It looks sweet on the shark mesh and I plan on grabbing that bracelet for next summer (leather & summer do not mix for me). As far as comfort goes, Nato and mesh cannot be beat. The crown is really kind of obscenely big, but it works so well in giving the impression of strength. This is just one rugged looking piece and I cannot imagine letting it go. I loved my Pre-Bond Seamaster 200m when it first arrived, but this is on a completely different level. FIRST POST UPDATED WITH PICS! Some comedy for your viewing pleasure...
I have been repressing the realization that I am one of probably many folks in line for the Archer SM300...the video brought back my shakes. Cheers and congrats! Enjoy the peace before the hunger comes back for another grail.
Congrats. My Archer SM300 probably gets the more wrist time of anything in my collection. Classic styling.
