If it comes to those straps, I wonder why no one mentioned the Velcro Nasa reproduction yet. I own one, it wears great, doesn't go over the caseback, excellent quality at 60 Euros and is nice authentic.

Do you have a link I could you for the strap please?

It's important to find the right strap, not just for your watch but for your wrist. We've been developing our MORA straps over the last 2 years because we couldn't find the right fit for us personally.

Our primary focus was quality but we wanted to offer them to watch enthusiasts at a great price. We developed a supple, thin (1.2mm), durable material integrated with completely solid hardware - no spring-bars or folded metal keepers - completely solid 316L stainless steel throughout.

Of course we're partial to them 馃榾 but I thought a lot of other members might be interested as well.

Visiting the Munich Omega Boutique, and trying the nato straps, couldn't figure out what to do with the excess flap. The nice lady suggested I bend it back in an incredibly loose loop. At that point I just didn't think of cutting off $30 of nylon.. Still not convinced.

Also, as written above, colors are limited and may fit better with modern watches than my vintage ones.

Worth every penny...

So I ducked into an OMEGA boutique yesterday for a look at their take on the classic NATO. This was my second hands on, as I had seen them briefly about a year ago in Dubai Mall, but hadn't tried any of them on the wrist.

My experience was mixed. On the one hand, these are just incredibly well made. The attention to detail in their material construction puts them in a class by themselves. On the wrist I found the profile a little on the bulky side, but this would probably have worked itself out with more wear and the normal breaking-in.

More troubling however, and a deal-breaker for me, the strap retainer at 6 o'clock is pressed directly into your skin, without any fabric from the strap to buffer it. This was to me, super uncomfortable...especially given how sharp and angular the strap retainer is. Seems like a pretty serious design flaw. Other NATO strap designs wisely avoid this.

If you own or have tried one, I'm really curious to hear your experience. Would also to hear if you've had success in finding a third party NATO strap approaching the material quality of these from OMEGA. I know this has been discussed before ...but not in 2017!

I love the Omega NATOs. I`m not wealthy by any means and always look to save cash but, I own a Speedy and a Seamaster both came on an a stainless bracelet. I have the Black on polished stainless Nato that came in the Omega box with the Speedy. I have ordered the RIO blue white stripes Nato for my Seamaster. I just think each watch retails at about 3-4k why put it on anything other than an Omega strap? To be honest I think its the cheapest qen Omega strap on the market. Nato nylon 拢110.00 try to buy a Gen stainless for less then 拢700 and a gen leather with clasp 拢500+. If I had a timex then yes aftermarket Nato for 拢30 fine. But not my lovely Omegas.
Mike I gotta agree wholeheartedly... As my wife told me before when I was looking for couple new ties "why would you spend so much money on suits and shirts and not ties?" In her opinion, if it completed the package, then it was worth the investment.

With omega nato straps, they're a cut above everyone in every way. Why in the heck spend thousands THOUSANDS on a watch, and not put on the best strap on the market? Quantity over quality is a good argument, but lately I think it falls short, especially if you end up spending the same amount over time trying to fulfill that itch of finding the best strap.

So I goto the Mora straps website and firstly I only see 4 flavors listed and of those only 1 is not sold out.
Not much of a choice... shame cos I was up for trying one. Interested in black 19mm width with yellow stripe.

Except Omega chose to not follow the spec so the rings are in bizarre places and you can't wear it like any other G10 strap.
