The AF0210 strap isn't period correct but is an extremely comfortable strap, and is gentle on your watch. They are in the process of trying to make another period repro strap that will be much more suitable for your '56 but it will be a little while yet I think.

I bought one of these on eBay last week and the seller cancelled the sell and changed his mind! I was disappointed for days as it was a good price too! I hope I get one soon as I love blued hands and a watch with this much history is a beautiful thing to have on your collection! Enjoy! 😀

Thanks for sharing, @size11s - there are some quite geeky niche sites on the evolution of the NATO strap, but I hadn’t seen this one!

No worries Wilderbeast, I have a few of his AF0210 and they are really comfortable as the webbing is so soft and you can insert the tang anywhere on the fabric and to get a perfect tightness rather than being restricted to pre-made holes.

That looks to be in far better condition than my 53 years owned version....LOL

Thank you for the compliment and your advice regards the 16mm strap option working for you....I'm thinking I'll go for a 16 mm option, leather or nylon still to be decided.

Indeed yours is used, but it still smells kerosene and burnt rubber. That's a great authentic look.
