So the original owner wore it everyday…. And I mean just that, all the time. In Five years the watch was on his wrist. As expected, the watch shows that. It’s Crystal has the exterior coating showing it’s loss and a very minor tiny chip. The Dial is a perfect no wave Ink black with good Lume. Handset is great and no issues to speak of. The Ceramic bezel insert in the rite light sows some ever so subtle imperfections, yet it’s Great condition. Then the case.. small normal hairlines and few micro indentations. The case and bracelet have lost its two tone finish and Isn’t bad at all. Overall the Watch is in normal condition for what it’s been thru.
Now the fun Starts… At 5 years old it’s never been serviced. It has the 2500D movement. The Cert Omega tech inspected the Movement and stated oil is fine, and all looks good. Everything works as it should. He stated some clients service at 3 years and some at 8. His evaluation was that it didn’t need to be done for a bit longer. He Regulated to approximately what he is expecting to be +2 per day. Oh and had pressure tested it to 300m, passed no problem.
I’ve decided since I got a fare deal I can do two things… Wear it and call it good. That’s fun and all, Yet
I’m pondering a refurbish project. The Watchmaker has excellent prices. So the idea is financially prudent. It’s fun also. I can get a new Crystal, new Screws to the bracelet…. Re polish the Two tone back to the metal overall. I’ll likely upgrade the clasp and get a Omega Nato, the one I have on it now is a inexpensive Barton. Those items most likely could be used on future watches also.

Ok so what would you all do? It’s just a fun little project and thread .

What do you mean by two-tone bracelet? Is there some gold I'm not seeing? If so, I don't think it's correct for that watch. My apologies if I misunderstood your post.

In any case, I think this is a personal decision and you should do whatever will give you more joy from the watch. Some people enjoy the watch more if it's upgraded and new looking, others like a worn look. Your choice. At some point, it will definitely need to be serviced.

Two tone was a reference to the Highly polished areas and satin finish areas on case and bracelet. As time goes on that dulls and the look is lost. I have other jewelry like that. I certainly will get watch serviced, it’s just not needed at this time… per the Cert Omega tech’s inspection.

I appreciate your post.
