I had a great mail call yesterday and thought I would share my two new arrivals.

A '61 Constellation 14381 pie pan with the Cal. 551 movement and a '66 Seamaster 105.005 chronograph with the Cal. 321 movement.

I have been hunting down both of these for a little while and they happen to come up at the same time. When it rains it pours I guess.

    I'm wearing the Seamaster today

Both are very cool watches. Congrats!
I love the 105.005, which I like to call Ed White companion", it wears great and is totally underrated.

I agree with you both. I think these a beautiful and under appreciated and valued at the moment. But I think that will change as time marches on.

Thank you very much. It's been fun chasing them down.

Congratulations, Alex! And I love the avatar!

The same thing happened to me first week of October, 2014. The same two models, a Constellation and a Seamaster...

... and so began my love-affair with vintage watches.

The big differences between yours and mine are that:

    1. You obviously did more homework first... pie-pan and the 321 .... swee-ee-ee-t!!

    2. You received yours on exactly the same day!

    3. You ended up with gorgeous beads of rice bracelets with them, and all I got were leather straps.

    4. Mine were '50s ('54 & '58) yours both '60s.

    5. Both pure stainless steel! ::love::

    Kudos :).

Again, I can't wait to see them in the steel next weekend! :taunt:

Thanks Doug. But you know your influence help inspire these purchases and your advice helped guide me.

Thank you sir! I have one other vintage Omega on the way. Hopefully it will arrive next week from Germany. A nice 50's gold capped 2846 with the Cal. 501 movement
It's got a generic replacement crown, but I've already sourced the proper clover crown for this case number.

Wow, that is lovely. It renews my desire for an all SS Connie, as well. Has anyone called 'dibs'?

    DIBS!!!

(Edit: oh, crap! I just looked at the post right before yours... I guess I'm #2 on the list? But wait :cautious:, I think @WYO_Watch was only dibs-ing the Seamaster!::psy::)

    Great find!

Unfortunately I can only send it via cargo ship - estimated time of arrival is sometime in 2089. [emoji1][emoji1]

He has dibs on the Seamaster. You are first on the list for the Connie, Doug. But, like you and your Memovox it may be quite some time. Maybe we can do a watch exchange for a few weeks down the line?

Just to inspire you for the swap (only when you are ready to remove the Connie, of course!):

Great watches. Would you mind to tell me the reference of the bracelet for the Seamaster?
