I’ve been looking for a nice polerouter for a while, and yesterday, this one arrived! It’s my first UG, but hopefully not the last:

Nice and slim case. Probably the original crown?

There seems to be quite little information about the ”NS” model around. It is said to be fairly uncommon, produced only for a few years in the late sixties, and it has the nice cal 69 movement. What I particularly like is the applied indexes, the red crosshair dial and the UG-typical date window with the nice date font. Even though the polerouter has a historical connection to Scandinavia through SAS, UG is a quite uncommon brand here and maybe still a little bit under-valued in my opinion.

If anyone knows more about the polerouter ,,NS” model, I would be very happy for any information about it. Actually, I don't even know what ,,NS" stands for...

Bonus picture, the polerouter together with some of its new friends:

Good catch and wonderful trio. All three have great dial furniture.

    Very nice!

That model comes up on occasion. I don't know what "NS" stands for, but always wondered about "North/South".

The grained silver dial together with the red crosshair is absolute bliss. Congratulations.

May I know the size? How big / small are these NS watches? :)

35 mm without the crown. It wears quite small because of the slim shape (the case is only 5-6 mm thick, + 2-3 mm for the domed crystal).
