Hello, again.
I want to share (lots of pictures) and need opinion (from many expert in this forums) on my new vintage piece.

It was omega with original waffle dial with thin crosshair, ref. 2627-3 SC , screw down caseback, with serial number 14,352,707 (production around 1954 and this was sold in 1956), caliber 355 (from www.omegawatches.com showed Cal. 355 Created in 1953), Diameter excluding winding crown was 35.2 mm (37.5 mm including crown).
Moreover, It was all stainless steel case with applied omega logo (applied logo after 1953) with " all stainless" dart indexes and Arabic quarter-hour numerals, aperture for the date at 6 o'clock (trapezoid shape that came after 1953).

In my opinion, the minute and hour hands were original, plus the uncommon black version of second hand.
Also, the clover leaf crown was originally correct to my watch.

The thing that I concern from my research, this serial number (14,35x,xxx) was too late for ref. 2627-3?.
(Should it be reference 2757 instead?)

However, this watch comes along with omega box (uncommon box that I can found the same box on this forum by @Snowman) + OMEGA GUARANTEE OF ORIGIN showed matching with serial number of my watch.

Also, the name of Ken (outer caseback of watch that matching with card) and date of purchase (purchased date: Jul 12, 1956 - in my assumption, the buyer received and marked the date on outer caseback with date July 14, 1956)

Finally my wrist shot:

If you have any idea or any comment ,please share you opinion.
Again, so sorry for my bad English.
Kind regards,
Teerapat

(I attach the pic of omega box by @Snowman)

Refer to @ulackfocus: It's a 2627 which usually had a caliber 353 inside, while the 2757 housed the 355 most times...... but there was a fair possibility of a 2627 having a 355.

I found some omega 2627 with all stainless steel version here:

A watch with great potential. But the movement looks very tired, and in need of a thorough recondition, and possibly mainspring. Also, I see no sign of a case back gasket which would tell me the watch shouldn’t be worn until it has been given a complete going through. As to the case belonging with that movement? I won’t comment. My Omega date at 6 Which is a twin to yours, is in the same model number of case, but the case is not original to my movement. Aside from that, you are inviting comments. Do you have specific questions, other than those you asked in your original post?

You have a knack for finding exceptional Omegas, Teerapat. A possible issue would be the seconds hand, which should normally be polished steel and not blued.

Looks like a good example of a 2627 and I have not seen any inconsistencies except the second hand. As always, a good service and your watchmaker will tell you more.

I just found this advertisement from omega about “1956 Olympics” that was held in Melbourne.

Also, in my “GUARANTEE OF ORIGIN” from “OMEGA” (date of purchase Jul 12, 1956) that come with this watch (in page8) mentioned about the Olympic Games.

Finally , i found this word inside of my box “OFFICIAL WATCH OF THE OLYMPIC GAMES”.

So I think this all set can be correct time period.

Kind regards,
Teerapat
