GREAT place! I think I will like it here :) I have a early 50's Seamaster Calendar cal 353. The crown gasket has worn away. I was trying to look for a replacement but the usual places do not have any in stock. Is it possible to replace the gasket on these old crowns or I need to keep searching for a replacement? Thanks for the help guys!

Take it to a watchmaker, they usually know where to get the oem parts.

@Archer can probably tell you the correct part number. Once you have that, it's a hell of a lot easier to find it.

If not available from sources like O.Frei and J. Borel, you maybe be able to find them for sale on eBAY. They pop up occasionally.

    Welcome!
Nice entry and it seems like we have something in common. We both own "blackout" 2627: s. I believe it is quite unusual with dial and hands without any lume on this ref./model.

I don't have much new stuff, Omega wise. Prices have gone way up since I stopped collecting :(

    Hey Chris,

How you doing? Didn't know they even sold gaskets for crowns.

I would suggest just ordering a new crown. Case reference number and movement number needed and parts supplier will pick the right one

I'm good DON. Been a LONG time! I'm trying to get back on the forums so you guys won't forget me :D

I have no clue about the gaskets. Just aguess. I know you can replace the crown gasket with some vintage Seiko's.
