My New Omega 3861 Broke Down after 3 months

Dears,

I would like to discuss with the community a troubling experience I have had with Omega and I seek advice on what I should do. I purchased my watch, a Speedmaster Moonwatch Sapphire new from Hong Kong Boutique in February this year. It was working well, but after about 3 months, I noticed that it is losing time progressively every day to the point it was losing almost a minute a day. I submitted the watch to Bangkok boutique and they confirmed the watch has lost amplitude. They recommended I send it to service, and said it will take about 2 months! I requested a replacement as I don’t think a new watch breaking down after 3 months is a normal warranty claim. The manager of the Bangkok boutique said she will try to request replacement but them called me back saying no, so i sent it to service for the meantime. I contacted Hong Kong boutique asking by for a replacement and they also said that Bangkok center will just fix the watch and no replacement to be offered. Now I have to stay in Thailand for several weeks waiting for my watch, that I don’t trust it will come back working properly as breaking down after 3 months is a red flag that something is seriously wrong with the movement.
I think Omega should consider replacing the watch in my case but unfortunately I have not got what I expected, and I truly regret buying from Omega. But I am entangled now with them and I need advice on what is best to do in this situation.
Thank you for reading.

Hi Umar,

It's a pity that your new Speedmaster stopped working properly after such a short time. As for advice, you should have Omega repair the watch since they've declined to replace it. When you receive your watch back from service, you can either enjoy it or sell it. Unless I'm missing something, those are your options.

Well it is a pity, but why should it be my pity or Omega’s pity?
