I've got a mate in the UK and we try to help each other out whenever we can.
I'm trying to get him involved over here as he has a much deeper and wider knowledge of Omegas (and other brands) than myself and also loves those eBay bargains that many others here enjoy too.

My Constellation knowledge is practically nil, despite owning a gold capped '69 C case, but I can already see that you all have a thing for black dials.

Here's his '66 168.005. Thought you might be able to give us your impressions and hopefully we'll entice John to get enlisted.

And I'll delve further into the old Connie posts and attempt to educate myself. Though I'll try and stay away from buying.

I've managed to find Desmond's blog. What name does he go by on here?

[Wow, that was much quicker on the work computer than using the laptop at home.]

    Yes it is.

Looks like a nice honest example of a genuine black dial piepan constellation.

Wow, it looks pretty good. At first I thought it might have been a bit over-inked (a sure tip off of a redial), but closer examination of the fonts makes me think it's okay.

Looks good from here. Look at it under magnification and the script should be silver gilt not white.

Nice watch, I was offered one a couple of months ago with boxes and papers. I had to pass, but the print was silver gilt.
