I'm very happy to find another of my "grail" watches, a 1st generation Omega Seamaster 300m model 2913-3 with a cal 501 movement. The watch is probably a 1959 and the condition is great for its age. Majority of these watches have lost their original bezel insert but mine is still in very good condition. Can anyone please tell me what the last number 3 of the model number stand for? I have seen some with the number 1 or 4?

-1 -2 -3 stands for iterations of the reference (type of watch), sometimes with differences in bezel layout or hands

no, it is like an upgrade (not sure it is the good word because closer to -1 is better ;) )
