Would gladly take that gilt one of your (her) hands 😜

Not likely that I could get permission to sell that one. 😁

Interestingly, that 2639 was actually one of the first vintage watches I ever bought, many years ago. I found it on eBay, totally naive, and just got lucky. When I look back at photos of the watches I bought in those days, almost all the others were crap, and they are long gone.

My GF grabbed this a few mins after it turned up in the mail. Granted, with the vintage fostner band it showed up on, it's a nice fit for a lady.....
I’ll date you if I get that piece!! 😉

FooGirl refuses to let me sell my Speedy date that I personally am not a fan of.

She wears a watch as a lefty...

Great thread OP!

I don't know how about you gentlemens, but all my efforts to make my wife wear one of my watches end up with her "Come on, you know me, I'm too clumsy to wear a vintage Swiss watch", so I bought her a plenty of girlish nato straps to match her favorite Seiko.

I let my girlfriend borrow my 166.062 with no return date. One of the watches I was too quick to pull the trigger on, you can probably see what the problem is with this one. 🤔 When we go out, she prefers the Memovox. That one definitely has a return date, approximately 10 minutes after we get home. 😀

So in the interests of risk minimisation I suppose as a watch collector I should remain monogamous if I wish to retain my collection ( and other important bits too). ::facepalm1::

She took my Bulova railroad watch, my Mustang, my virginity, a shirt or two, 37 years of my life and she has her eye on my 66 Honda.

i still think I got the better end of the deal.

Damn straight, I picked her up at the side of the road when her moped broke down, four years later we rode away from the church with her riding sidesaddle on the back of my 53 Triumph. She even had an extra veil made to fit over her crash helmet!...

sharing also a funny wifey watch story. when a close friend of mine celebrated his 50th birthday years back, we were having a dinner with his betterhalf. then i gifted him a nice oversize vintage birthyear seikomatic. his wife tried to wear it on and eventually said, my hubby and i were born the same year. end of story.😁😀
