Hi! I’m new to the forum and an Omega enthusiast for a while now. I’ve been searching for my first vintage Omega and I’m down to this two (photos below), I just wanted to get some help on verifying their authenticity, overall condition and any other observations are more than welcome. Price points are different but I like them both.

    Thanks in advance,

    Ricardo

    What that man said.

The first one is a dog with a fresh face. The second one isn't much better.

Both are way to polished... I don't like both of them... even though the second one is better than the first.

Hi Ricardo, welcome to the forum. I agree with what the others have said thus far. To be clear the first watch is in poor condition all the way around: the case has been grossly over polished, the movement is in rough shape and the dial has been poorly refinished. The second watch is better though the dial has been refinished, the crown is an aftermarket replacement and the movement is certainly in need of a service. If you hang around here and check out the the sales forums you'll certainly find some nice watches, regardless of price point. Good luck with your search.

Agreed. The first one i have actually on my wrist and it looks absolute different. Seamaster word is different, Case is sharp on mine. Beautifull watch but not in that condition.

Ricardo, i hope you wont mind me piggy backing since we are in almost same situation.
Just wanna ask the experts here what they think of this specimen. Good for USD1K?

It looks like a nice watch, but it’s overpriced. I have an identical watch that I purchased on eBay for significantly less than that (pic below).

You should be able to pick up a nice original Seamaster for under $600-$700. Keep checking the sales section here.
