Thank you very much! Wow we have the same good old boy! Yours seems more clean though. I want to make a good restoration with it somewhen around 2-3 years. I have recognised that on the case back there's a Seamaster logo but mine is almost gone. If you have a photo of that, I would be very appreciated to see it 馃榾

I almost bought that same watch several times, just could not pull the trigger. Mostly because I never got to see it in person, as they are hard to find. Much harder now, I'm sure, since it's been discontinued. Hmmmm, maybe it's time for me...

Since I tried so many models it was getting more clear which size I should buy at least. I was however very skeptic till I see it on my wrist. I wasn鈥檛 sure about the colours and the design even though I really like black/gray with yellow combination. Then it was first love when I tried and it was easy to pull the trigger 馃榾 I鈥檓 very satisfied with my choice now! I hope you would have a chance to try at least.

Hello folks,

I'm a watch lover from Austria pretty new in forum. I have vintage and modern different watches from different brands like Longines, Zenith, Seiko, Omega, Oris etc. I have had almost only modern and vintage dress watches mostly with leather straps and looking very classic. I also have one Seamaster from the end of the 50s. I wanted to have another style of watch in my collection. My wrist is small and diving, pilot or other sports watches are mostly giant nowadays. Plus I mostly don鈥檛 like divers.

I looked to brands like Zenith, IWC, Omega for their Chrono watches and on paper I liked IWC models the most. I wanted to have a chrono since I find them more vivid and want to break the monotony of my collection. First of all I find the IWC鈥檚 craftmanship in detail the best from these brands. I have one Zenith and one Omega in my collection. So I could try another brand. But on my wrist, they were all giant from IWC. After checking I thought I better have another dress watch for my later ages from IWC, especially with a blue dial.

I also liked Speedmaster designs a lot but I didn鈥檛 want to purchase a Moonwatch even though it鈥檚 one of my favorite chrono watches. The reason was I wanted a little more colorful watch and the size was a little bigger for my wrist. I also found reduced 38mm model but that one was this time a little small. Therefore I went for other speedy models. I found a racing model which I liked it's design and colors the most.

It鈥檚 40mm which is perfect for my wrist. It has a co-axial chronometer with Si14 Silicone Valjoux 7750 based automatic mechanism called as 3330. The one was also used for Mark 2 models and it's still used on Speedmaster 38mm models. Even though it鈥檚 not one of the best calibres Omega makes it鈥檚 more than enough for me. It's quite easy and cheap to repair and/or service and since it has a chronometer certificate from COSC it is quite precise. It comes with a wooden box which I like the most from Omega鈥檚 boxes. It has sapphire glass and also date, too. It is up to 10bar water resistance. It was discontinued almost a year ago but it's still available in some shops. I found a new piece in Switzerland which was produced on 04.2020. I went and checked the watch. It was a great fit and felt really good. So I purchased it and started to wear it already! Can鈥檛 be happier to be in the Speedmaster club 馃榾

If you want to ask anything about this watch, feel free to comment or message me.

Omega Speedmaster Racing was my first Omega and it was definitely only the start of my enjoyment of the brand. Opened the door to me owning a Moonwatch, Seamaster AT and a DSOTM

I also enjoy a lot. What amazed the most is so far the time keeping besides it鈥檚 build quality. It鈥檚 been more than 2 weeks and it didn鈥檛 lose or gain a minute. That鈥檚 incredibly good.

Congrats! These are very underrated. I ordered the black inverted panda version which I am hoping to receive sometime next week.

Congrats! I don鈥檛 care if it鈥檚 underrated or not because I buy to use for the rest of my life 馃榾 and it runs really good. It鈥檚 been 2 months and I still didn鈥檛 lose a min. Chrono function works also perfectly. For me the most important thing was the dial. I find it very beautiful and not boring. The second is size. 42mm versions are a bit big for my wrist since I have a small wrist but on the other hand 38mm versions are a little small, plus I think a chrono in 38mm looks very crowded. To be underrated has also a price advantage. I hope you also will have a good experience as I do 馃榾
