Surely it would be;
"purchased with the sole intention of appreciating in the future"
Rather than the hope?
Anyone who does this is very foolish in my opinion, it should NOT be encouraged.

IMHO, An investment piece is purchased with the hope that it will appreciate in the future.

Nice 105.012. I probably would have bought the head only if it was an option. This way you would pay less and had more money to spend on a right bracelet or one of your choice. Please keep us posted and show the final end result.

Purchasing only head was not an option. Talking about bracelets and straps. There were no mention on MWO about leather straps. Which one is period matching for 105.012-65 sold 1967?

Judgement day:

1. Main spring changed to incorrect type
2. 'Rat has had a kitchen inside the watch?!'
3. Pusher, crown and hands changed
4. Last service in Omega 2002

Watch maker had a new(?!) 321 spring for the watch and he try fix the marks from the calibre. Original hands will be changed. New set of pushers and crown will be changed for perfect sealing of the case. Used ones I'll get back.

As you can see in the pic there is lot of scratches in side the watch. It must be some dumpass (like me) trying to fix it really unprofessional way. Case will be left unpolished.

We decided to make full service for everyday usability 😉

While watch is in the service, I got Extract of the Archives today. Is friday the 13 th my lucky day?! Look at the difference between production date and sign date...

That's really neat that the signed date is exactly. 50 years apart.

im just curious if this extract should really state the 105102 specifically as the "speedmaster moonwatch", or does it go with the other speedmaster non-moonwatches.

This came back from the service. Main spring were gone and some sealings as well. After complete reassembly and oiling the chrono functions felt much better. Also hands were changed to original type.
