I was offered one like that five or six years ago for a really low price and didn’t take it. I have never really seen one In person before ( and after) so I was not really sure about it. But since then It has grown on me and wished I had bought it. Congratulations.

I had the opportunity to see this side by side mine nect to one with a perfect dial. To me i found this dial more interisting 😀
But there are few things that will need to be addressed like the hands lume, get rid of scrathces on the plexy (all during service) and sometimes later a better insert 😀

Yep, it's a mod! Took forever to get all the parts (or get them built ) but it came out Freaking cool😎😎

Is there any consensus as to how these speckle dials develop? Or just another unknown anomaly?

it's the shimmer dial paint. usually the color is blue and it usually ages ugly af

Isn’t there someone that paints Seiko dials? I saw one that said “Epiphany & Co” I think too, some funny other ones. Would be fun to have.
