I was retired from purchasing vintage omegas and was in a holding pattern until I saw this in Bukowski's. Everyone discussed the 2915 in that auction but IMO this was the gem among the vintage omegas. I always liked the early bumper chronometres and this one is ref. 2648 - the earliest constellation reference with cal. 352 - and the best condition of this first generation I have ever seen either for sale or privately owned. It looks unworn and the strap and buckle and even crystal are original. And even the hangtag isn't creased. And the dial is one I haven't seen before but that's typical of the 2648 reference - this is my ninth 2648 and they have 8 different dial styles. It had to be something special to make me add to the collection and this one fits the bill. As I like to say, Condition, Condition, Condition.
You go MSNWatch!!! Thanks so much for posting the great detailed photographs. It's wonderful to be able to study them. Wish those style straps were popular. Love the way the original looks on all that beautiful rose gold.
I know it's an inappropriate question to ask and please feel free to ignore it but could I ask how much it cost please. It is absolutely beautiful and looks like it was made yesterday. High content gold being such a soft metal and all that. Thanks for sharing.
Impressive as usual @MSNWatch, every piece you share is an inspiration to practice patience It was a public auction https://www.bukowskis.com/en/auctions/614/9-omega-constellation
I guess you are tired of hearing 'well done' with just about every single watch you post ... regardless : Well done! That's a beaut. 'Please Sir, can we have some more' (meaning a groupshot would be fantastic)....
