Nah...I'm not offended at all Hattrick .
Of course I understand the budget constraints but You need to do your homework & focus so that it's much easier for us to help you. I'm just worried the Big Guns have not arrived here yet.....
I'm not sure if the Squirrel would be pleased......
My first "expensive " watch will be a speedmaster.
Personally i like the clear case back and the moonphase complication but , unless buying from a grey dealer is out of my budget .
So , i thought the next base thing would be an older model , wwich, if needed can be resold .

Ask away here or by PM.
I don't know if it's possible , but I'd like confirmation from other users . Also , the strap is a bit different from what i like.
Than you

So, is the watch worth it?
Yes, but as we discussed it isn't exactly what you are looking for.

Good luck with your search!

There is a wealth of information on Speedmasters here on the forum. Foremost experts in the world reside here, I'd do a search before attacking a piece you may not know much about. I've been here for a few months and can say the OF community is as experienced as they come. Do your homework, and when you've learned the Ref. enough to know what you'd like to be serious about, ask! The speedy world is intimidating to me personally, I try and walk carefully when discussing the model because of the amount of experts present and the importance of the piece to Omega's history. Best place to learn for sure. The Speedy market is full of frankens, wrong information, and inflated values. Tread lightly until this community has rewarded you with the information you seek my friend. Best of luck in finding the right piece!

Happy Holidays!

Exactly how I feel .
Serial number 48280172 means that the watch is after 1990 ? but the description says '85 .
I am totally confused .
I guess i wanted someone to put a speedmaster on a plate for me. it seems it not so easy but that means i will enjoy it more once i manage to get one.
Thank you all

Great attitude! That is half the battle. The best part about it is no one will ever be able to take that away from you my friend. One who accepts the challenges of opportunity is unstoppable. Onward and upward. Get in those threads & get to work! The Speedy world is one of many many many challenges that you seem up to challenge. Keep that positive attitude and you'll be an OF regular before you know it. Excited to see what you are made of Hattrick.

Again, Happy Hunting,

Thomas
