Great choice for your first Omega. Is it better than your last Breitling?

How do you compare it to your breitlings?
I have the same watch as the OP, and two modern Breitlings.

Apples to oranges.

The SMP300 Diver as a time/date diver package punches far above its Breitling counterparts (probably the Superocean or Avenger).

The only Breitlings worth buying are those with the B01 manufacture movement, or a ETA base with a heavy.. heavy.. discount.

It’s very comfortable on the wrist and a nice weight. I have just recently sold my Breitlings, been collecting them since 2001. Had seven in total, but fancied a change as not keen on their current models.

So far, very pleased with SM Diver 300, had a look at the PO, but thought the look of the SM was nicer. Size and weight was OK as some of my Breitlings were bigger, so that wouldn’t have been an issue.

My two Breitling Chronomat had the B01 movement. Breitling gave a five year warranty with this movement compared to the standard two.

Also for @TheGreekPhysique

Currently, I’ve got the SMP300 Diver, but previously I had the Breitling SuperOcean and Avenger GMT, along with the Avenger SeaWolf.

The SuperOcean did have a good clear face, but I’ve now got a preference for dials without numerals.

All are big watches, particularly the SeaWolf, I think that was 46mm. Out of these four, the SMP300 Diver is the most comfortable. The SeaWolf did move around a bit and was top heavy. When you first put it on, it did feel heavy, as was 235g. The one I wore the most was the Avenger GMT, which was 168g, so a big difference.

SuperOcean (165g)

Avenger II SeaWolf (235g)

Avenger GMT (168g)

I got this on Wednesday.
I've nearly bought a Superocean a few times and have been after a green diver for a while, so....
