I’m normally found in the Universal Geneve forums, but stumbled into this beauty in the “forgotten” collection of a neighbor, and couldn’t resist picking it up when he said he’d be willing to part with it. Appears to be an early bumper automatic, reference 2438-2, from the mid-1940s in remarkably clean condition. The dial and hands look great for being more than 75 years old. And I was in for a special treat when I held a black light up to it! Wow! Might need to start spending some more time in the Omega forums!
Any additional insight anyone could provide me into this particular reference would be greatly appreciated. Eager to learn more.
Thanks.

Beautiful looking watch there!

Now the question is, is the new owner willing to part with it? 😉 I'm interested! 👍

Sorry, but there's now another new owner....sold it just a couple weeks ago to another Omega enthusiast. Sorry - but thanks for the note!
