Thanks to the forum for the help and guidance. I landed my flightmaster earlier this week and I couldn't be happier. Its definitely not perfect (more on that below) but I think it looks great on the wrist and I can't stop staring...or grinning :D. The dial looks pretty clean and I don't think its a service dial (open to opinions on this) and the edges and pattern on the case look good. I'm sure its been refinished but since I'm planning on keeping it for a while, that wasn't a problem for me. It doesn't have the 1159/62 bracelet but the one that's on it says 1171 and seems appropriate. If anyone's interested, I'm open to a trade plus cash if someone has a spare.

Now for some of the warts...
The gasket or ring holding the crystal in place is a light brown color. I've never seen it in other flighty photos. I'm not sure if that means the crystal was installed incorrectly or with the wrong materials (should I look to get it fixed?)

None of the pushers have color. I can't tell if they were replaced (and the replacements lack color) or if they've just worn off. Not sure I care much.

The case back was definitely replaced. The number on it is 145.013. I think that number is for the earlier version but I'm new so I don't know. In either case (no pun), how hard is it to find the right one? Is it worth it?

Overall, I'm very happy and got it at a competitive price. Looking for a NYC local watchmaker if anyone has recommendations. Thanks.

Its a great looking watch

Firstly I think the bracelet must be an 1162 but with an 1171 clasp (or at least the part with the number stamped on it). The bracelet is right for this model so you'd just need an 1162 clasp.

As to the model I think it must be a 145.026 due to the way the crystal is fitted, if I remember correctly the 145.026 comes with a crystal gasket fitted around the outside of the crystal (like in your pics) but the 145.036 comes with an o-ring seal which you dont see when the crystal is fitted.

It's the other way around when I look at the cases on the Omega Extranet. The 145026 uses the black O-ring, and the 145036 uses the hard plastic crystal gasket.. Not sure which this is, but the way this crystal is installed doesn't look right. It's not seated properly - look at the second photo and clearly the left side of the crystal not in the case as far as the right side is.

    That needs to be fixed...

    Cheers, Al

Thanks for the feedback @pascs and @Archer its great to know the bracelet is appropriate. Interesting about the clasp but I'm still happy. Thanks for the info on the crystal and gasket. I figured I'd need to get it adjusted for both safety and aesthetics. My regular watchmaker seemed intimidated by this, I guess he hadn't worked on one before. And I definitely don't want to take it to him if he's not confident. One thing I also noticed is that GMT hour hand isn't moving in time with the traditional hour hand. It moves freely but makes a slight winding sound. Does it sound like a loose pinon or something? I've talked to the seller and he'll either fix it or credit me the cost of getting it fixed myself. I can save some money shipping it back to him to fix, but I just got it and hate to loose it for weeks.

Thanks all. I feel like I really lucked out. Its definitely got some weight to it and my girly wrists require the band be on its smallest setting. A decent start I think. Once the wallet heals, I need some recommendations.;)
