My first Omega a Speedy Reduced!

I know, I know...there's not much love in this forum for the Speedy Reduced, but I just wanted to share with you my happiness to finally own a nice Omega! I decided to pull the trigger, and I could never be happier. The watch it's just the perfect size, it came in nearly mint condition, and it just looks cool.

I'm kind of a big guy, but I always loved the look of smaller watches. I feel they are sleeker, less in your face, and more elegant. I always loved Moonwatch, but I always felt it was too big for me. Given that I own an IWC Mark VIII (that is the perfect size for me), I decided to go with the little brother instead, and never been happier!

Anyways, just wanted to share with you my happiness to have finally pulled the trigger, and also, thanks for all the great advices that you can find here, even just lurking around! Such a lovely community!

Congratulations! Very underrated and beautiful piece. I have one that was a daily companion for many years and recently went to my son - which gave me an excuse to buy a Speedy Pro.
The Reduced remains my/our most accurate mechanical watch.
Fits you well and the slight variation in design with the numerals has its own charm. Great bracelets also on those. Way better than the current 3861.

Nice Speedmaster you got there and we have one in our collection too. We actually take turns wearing it and our 3 Speedmaster professionals have been sitting in storage boxes for ages. 👍

Thanks! I've been thinking about it for a while, and when I saw this in person I just though "I need to pull the trigger". It's such a lovely watch, and I love it's unique. Absolutely love the Pro, however, it was just a bit too big for me. While this Speedy Red, just fits perfectly. Absolutely love the dial too

Well, it's a nice excuse to go Pro, indeed! The numerals got me since the beginning, it gives that 90's look that I love about it, but with a small dial. Bracelet is also super comfy, I wasn't expecting it!

Enjoy your new Pro, and I'm pretty sure your son would lend you the Reduced from time to time! 😀

My Reduced is on my wrist way more than my Pro, zero issues in many years. Yours is sharp as a tack, very nice👍

Congrats on a great watch. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with a speedy reduced. I’ve had mine going on 20 years and still love it. Wear it in good health but I’m willing to bet you’ll be shopping for a pro soon!

I do not understand why you said that it's not much love for the Speedmaster Reduced.. It's also a very nice watch and many persons desire to own one 😀. Enjoy you watch!

Use the search function, and review countless posts about the Speedmaster reduced, and you will understand “extremely underrated”. I have one, and I prefer it to my Speedmaster. (Blasphemy, I know!)

Congrats on the new addition!
My first Speedmaster was a Reduced and I loved it. I loved the proportions of the case, bracelet, and clasp...especially when compared to the heavier/chunkier 3570.50 era of Speedmasters.

Enjoy your reduced! For me the name „reduced“ does not fit so well - yes it is smaller but that’s the exact reason why I wanted to have it. (This does not mean that I don‘t want to try/add the Pro at some point. Who knows)

I just want to find a zero-stretch bracelet at a decent price as mine has a bit.

Nice! I love the versatility of Speedmasters. They can go with almost any strap combination.

Very nice condition!congratulations I recently tried the new coaxial Speedmaster Pro which is brilliant, but it made me love my reduced a bit more😉Having said that both are great but different watches, like 2 sisters of the same parents😋

No lack of love here. Reduced are great. Love my 3513.53.

That is very nice but it is not a Speedmaster Reduced. It is a so called Speedmaster Date model. They differ greatly from the Reduced if you put them side by side and of course use a fully integrated movement rather than a modular solution.
