Hi First post on here long time reader but anyway I've had a thing for Omegas for a while and have owned a vintage for a few month see post in vintage section for that one! But recently spent my first larger sum on a Omega Seamaster I went for a Quartz I find it so comfortable to wear and can't stop smiling when I got it on so I now it's the right one for me to start with! Anyway a couple of bad pics! (Sorry!) Any comments welcome and all info on the model greatly received!!!
Not too shabby at all. An excellent first choice for a "modern timepiece". I love my automatics but nothing wrong with a quality quartz. I own a few myself and are usually more accurate than my autos! Now that the bug has bit, so to speak....I am sure another will be on the horizon. Congratulations. Donald
Already is on the horizon but am still unsure on price and what to be asking before I buy. The one I want next is this little gem
They come in different sizes, however the original "moonwatch" is the 42mm case with cal. 321, 861, or 1861 movements. Here is a photo comparison, the one you were looking at is the same as the smaller one on the right: http://timeandtidewatches.com/insta...r-automatic-38-5mm-%F0%9F%91-or-%88%F0%9F%91/
1400 GBP! That's a high price for that item IMHO. You can probably get a Speedy Pro from mid 80's-early 90's for that much, if not a few hundred GBP more. Well worth the difference, as the Speedy Pro is an icon, has much better proportions, and is easier to service.
Great watch. I previously owned the black version which I traded in for the chrono diver also in black. It was a very hard decision between blue and black. I constantly look at these on eBay and will definitely pull the trigger if there is one at the right price.enjoy !
Very nice Seamaster. There is a good article here outlining the differences between the Speedmaster Reduced and Moonwatch: http://www.fratellowatches.com/spee...ed-versus-speedmaster-professional-moonwatch/ I was also considering a Reduced but there is just something about the Moonwatch, so that's my planned next purchase.
Although you might start with a reduced you will soon sell it and buy a pro. You always have the feeling that it is not the real deal.. I know what I am talking about since I started with a reduced..
Looks great. Here is the one I want. What do you guys think? Still shopping but the best price I have found so far is $4,700 at Bob's Watches.
Looks awesome!! I've gone from loving Rolex, Breitling (still like Breitling) but I now love Omega. It just seems to be so well made no matter which model you buy.
