Dear all,

Firstly, I would like to thank @sdre who refer to me the potential availability of a 1675 and through his selfless efforts in coordinating & negotiating, managed to help me do a trade up for a 1675. Without him, I would not be able to realise such a grail purchase!

I would like to thank people such as @TTG and @sensui and others who have responded to my PM regarding the watch's condition and the main reason i pulled the trigger is due to the fairly positive opinions by the forementioned experts. It is due to such unselfish sharing that I am able to purchase my very 1st 4-digits reference.

Since Monday, I have enjoyed every moment of wearing this handsome 1675. It's really a dream come true for me.

I appreciate if you all can care to chip in your opinions about this watch as I am still learning and would like to learn more by your frank views about this watch. Here are the clearer photos;

Once again, thanks everyone!

Congratulations. A gorgeous example.

Delighted (and not surprised) that you received so much assistance from the forum.

Funny story...in college, back in 1998, I drove an hour to Sanford, NC to look at a MK2 unpolished original owner 1675 for $1,000...I didn't buy it. I just like Subs more...and this mindset stayed with me for years and years, until this year, when I finally saw the light, and now own 3 GMTs.

They are such awesome pieces, and wear so well.

My 2.1m says hello

Very impressed with this watch overall. Glad you decided to pull through on it. Put a period correct faded insert and you'll take this to a whole another level. Congrats.

Nope, it was not advertised for sale. Ex owner bought it from a friend who in turn bought it at a local shop during vacation in Europe.

Thanks! Yup, my friend also mentioned it is a service case back as my watch should have a date below the model ref.

Thanks everyone for sharing! I am pleased that the watch has received rave reviews. Yes as sensui mentioned, although I am fine with the bezel, I'll be sourcing a good period correct fat font insert to boost the looks.

This is a wonderful community! Hope the comments keep rolling in!
