I just want to share this fantastic purchase! :)
I recently asked my watchmaker if he had any vintage pieces laying around. I didnt think I would get a positive answer but he went to the back room and came back with this!
Its an Omega Flightmaster from the early 70s :)
The hands and pushers are replaced on one point, but luckily all the replaced parts came with the watch. Its even recently serviced.
As you can see the watch is polished but the job isnt half bad and for $1300 this was a great buy.

Wow, a fabulous buy at that price! Nice to get the original parts too, but it looks great with the new parts installed. Well done!

What a steal! 1300 seems to be going rate for a bare 861 movement these days...

Very nice! Though if it is your first purchase of the year, then technically it is also your worst.

Wow, very nice. Congrats! The dial looks great - for some reason I come across a lot of flightmasters with really mouldy faces.

Very nice, congrats! How does the blue hand work and how are the original hands different?

    Thanks!
You dont see these everyday. Not in Norway anyway :)

The blue hand is for the GMT function.
The hands arent really that different, but as you can see the patina on the dial and hands doesnt match.
