Hi All So i recently found out that one of the two number 6 end-links on my Ed White is fake. As I bought the watch from a reputable dealer, I want to let them know their error so they can learn for the future. What are peoples thoughts about where I stand in terms of recourse? Their ad stated everything as original when I bought it (and I paid top dollar too!). Also, what are a pair of correct 6-ends going for these days? Thanks in advance Nick
Yeah I have these pics which show each angle... I understand the giveaways are quite stark... the shape of the area where '6' is stamped, the fact the steel is folded inside and the lack of stamped lines inside the piece... I need to go back to the company because the 6 ends were surely part of the driver behind the price.
Bought it 17 months ago... everything else is good other than this end link. I did a lot of research on it and had a knowledgeable friend assist but I have to say i didn't (perhaps naively) look as far as the endlink...
2k minimum ( seen them a few hundred over this ) Which also comes with a lot of patience and luck getting it before the hundreds of others that are chasing them.
I have never seen an end link with the punched in flange bent in and left intact. I vote aftermarket.
I vote for real FWIW, The single notch with flange were the earliest #6 end links found on 2913s for sure. Probably 2915s and 2914s as well. Edit: Or their phony and sell them to me at an aftermaket price
I have seen the same too and they where 100% genuine as they came from a old watchmaker estate here in Switzerland.

Stamp/font style and position look good to me, not a repro. @michael e may have some thoughts as well.
