I finally got the last watch to complete my collection. Little back story: I started getting into watches last year, and in December 2015, my wife green lighted my watch purchase of a Breitling Navitimer 01 46 mm for losing a significant amount of weight. Once I got the Breitling, my in law told me she's never heard of Breitling, but knows of rolex and omegas. That intrigued me, and I saw the Spectre. I was damn, I really like that. Thus my journey to find the Spectre. While trying to find Spectre, I found out about the Snoopy watch. That caught my eye, and saw how limited it was. After getting back from Hawaii, I got a hold of an omega dealer that a friend uses. I really wanted the Spectre at first, then the snoopy. He was going to try to get me both of them. Long story short, he failed at both. During our conversation, he showed me the grey moon. I figured hey, I really liked that one too, and it wasn't hard to get. David S. W had a good price, and bought that one. Then Spectre came along at a good price, and somehow I pulled the trigger on that one in March. Finally snoopy came along at a price point I was willing to pay, and now my collection is complete. I still can't believe I bought 3 omegas in less than 5 months. LOL. Here is a picture of all 3... (The grey moon though has some gunk on it. What would people use to clean that? microfiber and water? I think it was my kid flinging a straw and some juice got on it while at disney... Freaking boy is unpredictable.)
I clean my crystals with soft rag a little damp with glass cleaner.. Way to start out , go big or go home.... Now I think you need the new Basel ck2998
Nope, still have it. It has the stainless steel bracelet on it and makes it too flashy. I ordered the black leather strap, so waiting for that to come in. Plus it was the 1st watch that started this, so can't part with it.
Fantastic trio you have there. Congratulations on both the watches and the weight loss that started the journey!
Great collection and congrats! I'm a huge fan of the lollipop second hand and the 12 hour bezel on the Spectre Seamaster.
Very nice collection. And it's only the beginning. Might as well get the ck2998. Limited and a lumed bezel like the other speedmasters.
Cleaning watches.......I usually just spit on mine and rub it with my finger, that works, and if it needs a proper clean I use the kitchen brush and a bit of water.
Nice collection! You honed in on some desirable ones there. I also have the Snoopy and GSOTM, and almost bought the Spectre from another forum member who owns two, but I had a few that were on my list ahead of the Spectre, as follows. I've actually kinda been very busy for the past 18 months. I'm really not trying to show you up here. I'm trying to PROVE to you that YOUR COLLECTION IS NOT COMPLETED.
