I would like to share my latest acquisition, a 1973 (3.7 mil) Rolex Submariner Red with the last variation of the red sub dial which is a Mk VI. The other one in my collection is a 1971 (3.0 mil) with a Mk V dial. Watch has minor scratches on the acrylic glass.

Is the tritium still there but just really really white?

Could be an MK6 or a service dial. Looks really white and clean.

It is a Mk 6. The Mk 8 service dial only says "SWISS" at the bottom

Great piece, I think it will look amazing on a black leather strap.

I think at some point the Omegaforums community has to pith in and buy you a camera tough.

Sorry about the lousy pics. I am just lazy sometimes to wear my reading glass and I rely too much on the auto focus of my iphone which is not as reliable as I thought. I took a picture of the watch again wearing my glasses and I hope its much better. The watch crystal has a long scratch across 2 o"clock.

Thank you.nice watch.

Just a suggestion maybe you're focusing on the bezel or crystal. Try focusing on the dial itself

For the record ; I have the same issue with typing and the autocorrect.

You may not realize this but your typos often seem to have some apparent cosmic meaning. Can't be just coincidence you mis-used "pith" and "tough" in the same post. 😉

It's a weird thing. Lucknow attention and bad fingers. On the phone I'm a mess. On the keyboard I'm better but sometimes reverse words like yuo for you etc. I just move faster than my skillset and don't read before posting. And I should wear my glasses because sometimes I type and just hope for the best

My Mk6 has a much darker patina thou. I see yours is a closed 6 on dial and date disk. Mine is a closed 6 on dial, but open 6/9 on a silver date disk.

Great watch, although its a shame it has no patina on the lume...either the dial and hands have been replaced or the watch has spent its entire life in the sun.
