Beautiful watch and one I'd be happy to own - even without the provenance and family history. Thanks for sharing - and don't worry about "flaws" - seems to me there would be no end of buyers if you ever come to sell!!

I talked to my father, he realized the facts that the watch has been serviced. But he could unfortunatly not remember it. He tried to sell it to at jeweler about 15 years ago, but the jeweler rejected it. [emoji12] lucky me.
I found a picture from Congo, the original black leather strap is visible.
How great is this ... It makes you want to buy something new with the sole purpose of handing down to future generations, in hopes that some day your legacy can live on as it has with your family. Congratulations!

Love the Mk1 Landy (I think) in the background, worth a pretty penny nowadays.
It's a Belgian military Minerva based on the landrover. Very cool pic. We want more please!
