I'm not knowledgeable about this particular watch, but if I acquired it I'd try for another, hopefully better dial re-do.

    Is "ultra-rare" an appropriate description?

The seller stated that it was certified by Movado and multiple "experts" as 100% original

There's also the matter of the Sub-Sea-style hour and minute hands.

He told me he had a dozen offers, none lower than $2500 and when I informed him the dial was poorly redone he replied:
No offense but this was evaluated several times and once by Movado the last time it was done. Just so you know Movado did not always have "swiss made" at the bottom of the dial. Thanks for the opinion but I think I'll go with what I know.

He was clearly trying to sell this off EBay soliciting offers.

Wow...didn't see the jog in the minute track at 6...ouch! The 35mm case did it for me.

    Some people...

Fonts wrong, paint too thick (look at white paint on sub dials) outer track just messed up and MOVADO isn't even the correct font. And that's just the easy stuff.

Overall I'd give her a 9/10 on bad scale...only because there are bidders who clearly don't see the issues.

True. "SWITZERLAND" or "SWITZERLAND T" or "T SWISS T" is more like it.

I think the lume on the hands was painted with the same paint as the dial.

Personally I'd call it a parts watch if it is cheap enough but that is just me. What is up with everyone going for panda and reverse panda dials these days even if redialed?!

I don't know anyone that goes for a redial regardless of flavor.

Some people don't know what a redial looks like and will jump on and pay a lot more than something is worth at times. Remember everything has value even redials.

I remember a redialed panda Movado Chronograph selling for around $2500 a few months back.

Yes it does. Altering the original finish of the watch affects the value of the watch in a negative way.

LOL, of course. Considering this watch is a POS, the value is already at parts only so the polished case will have very little significance.

I was merely pointing out that the polishing did affect the value of the watch. If the case was nice perhaps someone might want it to put a nos dial on.
