K3? I was gifted a pillion ride around Donington on the back of one of these with Niall McKenzie piloting during a track day. Put my Blade up for sale and bought the K4 as a result of the experience.

Bimota made some outstanding bikes. The hub centre steering Tesi was one of them.

After nearly 20 years since I stopped riding a bike I fell in love with that lady:

I decided to take some private "fresh-up" hours in a driving school (also to take away some fear in my family) ... excellent decision until now ... you forget a lot of things. My driving instructors always says "Pay attention on the road ... where ever you ride, you NEVER have the right of way".

I rode quite a bit before I had my kids. Once they are all in first grade I'll probably start riding again or at the very least pick up another bike. I had a CBR600 that I sold and I took to the track a few times. I still have a Ninja 250 that has the fairings pulled off sitting in the garage. One of these weekends I'll put the fairings back on and sell her.

I'm four hours into the 40,000km service on my MP3 500 and we're still only about half way through...

Today might be a bad day to ask what I think of this thing.

When you wear a Speedy racing. What do you do?

Is that a V4? Also, do you wear your watch when you ride? I used to then stopped after I saw a guy grind his rolex to bits after he dropped his bike. It looks like someone took a belt sander to it.

This isn't mine but I believe it was a V4. Or maybe it was the final edition. Only remember it had some Italian paint scheme. The ripped up tire caught my eye so i took the shot when I visited the IOM TT in June. I do ride myself (Ducati, MV Agusta, Triumph,..) and sometimes wear watches which I shouldn't be wearing. If I plan to do some serious recreation I prefer to strap a Seiko, Casio or Apple Watch to my wrist. But sometimes I sin and forget to plan....

Humbling is the only word to describe it! 2-up on a bog standard K4 and flying by quick lads in the fast group. No grab rail either!

Okay. I was trying to avoid this, but this thread keeps coming up.

Apart from the Aprilia Mille RSVR that I've posted elsewhere here, below are a few of the 10 bikes I owned in the past:

2006 BMW HP2 - a 1200cc oil head in a light light 'dirt' bike. It kicked butt and was a blast. Very long reach to the ground from the seat and I have a 34" inseam. Not as dangerous as the Aprilia was, but still not to be messed with. Rode this from SF to LA more than once.

1933 Rudge Ulster - really sorry I never got this bike entirely squared away. Really fast for an early 30's bike and advanced, but I pushed it home every time I rode it. Taught me that despite all my fantasies, I was not made for restoring vehicles. Turned out to be a cheap lesson

1981 BMW R100CS - fast airhead 'sport' bike days. Had a racing cam in it that made it temperamental at lights but a screamer over 4000 rpm.

And finally, my 'best' bike. Put 70k miles on it in less than five years. 2005 R1200GS
There were plenty of days that I put ten or more hours in, riding her.
This bike was a MUCH better bike than I was a rider. Anything I ever dared it to do, it did, including a ride thru snow and ice over the Tioga Pass in Yosemite. Shame the first drive shaft only lasted 58k miles. Lucky I had an extended warrantee.

Also not pictured here:
1962 Norton 88SS
1964 BMW R60/2
1976 BMW R90/6
1992 BMW K75 RT
2002 BMW K1200RS

Okay, I'm done! (Whew!)
