Which feature(s) do you feel are most useful on a watch? I have been looking to get a GMT watch because I really like the look of the new Black Bay GMT, but I am wondering how often I will even need to use it.

I use chronos all the time, and a day/date basically everyday?

Which is the most useful watch function/complication?

I use a diver timing bezel quite often: timing parking, laundry, or cooking, second time zone, marking the time for a meeting.

When my job was 70% global travel a GMT function or 2nd time zone was great. I love chronographs. I use them a lot. Day Date is more useful than you'd think.

Day/date is super handy IMO (for obvious reasons).
I know whenever I have on my Speedy, and I try to instinctively look at my wrist to check the date, I usually shout an expletive.

I travel a lot globally, sometimes messing around with three time zones, so GMT wins hands down ;)

I don’t even have my PO yet, but independent hour hands. I have travelled back and forth between Seattle and Chicago 9 weeks this year and am scheduled for another 6. First time ever reaching Alaska airlines MVP status

I tend to use chrono and/or bezel every day for timing coffee, parking, driving and especially cooking. Although I tend not to wear a vintage watch when I have to cook. I'm waiting for a blue Pelagos GMT with rotating hour bezel.

my favorite complication is the chronograph, but I wouldn't say that it's the most useful. I'd say that a divetime bezel is the most practical feature & perpetual calendar is perfect for a daily wear watch :)

GMT, and then an independently adjustable/quickset hour hand for travel.

Being able use the watch to tell the time is most useful for me:)

The thing I most miss when wearing a watch that doesn't have one, is a date display. I can live without a day display - my auld memory isn't quite that bad yet - but having to pull out my phone to check the date is a PITA.

The second most useful thing is a means of tracking elapsed time - either a rotating bezel or chronometer.

And finally, 200m water resist and a rotating bezel - i.e. a genuine dive watch - are essential to me on the (unfortunately) infrequent times I actually get to dive these days. I have a dive computer, but always wear a mechanical watch as a backup.

    Or maybe they're Colnago fans.
    Hard to say...

Perhaps we should seek a second opinion from MacGyverette. ;)

She knows all about my Hooters shenanigans...and she has stated that she doesn't care. I have asked her why she doesn't care [I would cease Hooters ops if she wanted me to do so] and she has stated repeatedly that there is no way [IN HELL!] that any Hooters chick would ever be interested in me since I'm a "geeky-middle-aged-watch-guy-douche-bag".

I tend to use the time keeping function the most. Beyond that, I do use chrono functions regularly but more because I like to than for any actual need.

In day to day life: Timer Bezel or Chronograph
When I am traveling: Quickset hour
General ‘nice to have’: Date, 100m water resistance

The above list is why I keep looking for a JLC dualmatic
