Good day to you all, Picked up this vintage Longines recently and I am stoked to show you guys. I can't open the back since I don't have the right tool, and it is too tight to open with a rubber ball. What do you guys think of the watch? Unfortunately the minute hand is not original. Any ideas on how to go about that?
I like it. If you try the keywords Longines sei tacche in google images, you may have some luck in finding similar watches. Of course, once you get it open, you can request an extract from Longines through their website.
Nice! I suggest you ask a watchmaker to open it, so you can see which movement it is. 12.68z, I guess. When you know the movement, you need to specify the size of the hands - http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&a&2uswk&Longines_12_68Z& helps. Next journey is Ebay. Check for example mikeswatchparts in Canada, he has lot of Longines parts.
Thanks! It is indeed a 33mm size, unfortunately no 35mm. I was told it has a 12.68z movement. I will explore ebay and try to find the right hand, thanks for the tips!
