Been looking at the streamliner from Moser as a more alternative steel sports watch that may be more attainable than the big 3.

Only issue is the 40mm time only piece has a wait until roughly 2023 ::facepalm1::

I asked my local AD and they said I could put my name down for the perpetual calender for a cool 81k AUD

Am I being ridiculous even considering this offer (which would require considerable consolidation) , what other options are out there? Anything else that is sports and swiss is unattainable at the moment and to be perfectly honest I would love a 5712 or Odysseus, but hey that's never going to happen. Or do I just stick with vintage :p

Love what they are doing. The streamliners are phenomenal.

You can look at the Czapek Antarctique.

On the cheaper side, there's the Cartier Santos. For the price of a Streamliner Perpetual, you could get the skeleton Santos or gold Santos.

    5960 is pretty sweet. It’s sport/dress. 40.5mm
    Annual Calendar, chrono. In-house PP.
Readily avail at a steep discount. (Low $50k)

If you want a totally random opinion: to my eye, they are nicer from the back than they are from the front (where they resemble certain 70s designs that can be had for much less). Between this and something like 5960, there is just no contest. None. At. All. 5960 all the way…

In the 50k range, my pick is 5960 above.
If you push up $60-70k, I’ll go 5170G (no pulsation)
Lots of fun in these brackets.

Take your time and see them all in metals.
One will sing to you louder than the rest.
You will also loose sleep thinking about one of them.
Your second wife might occasionally slap you to get your attention.
(First wife left you long ago. She knew better!)

Don’t worry, it’s the Patek bug, it’s only transmissible via internet.
Simply shut off wifi for a good sleep.

these two are currently trading way way below where they should be.
I’ll take a hard pass on the hype models.

The Watch Box has the Moser Streamliner CS at a nice little markup:

For that amount, you can get an Octo Finissimo 102912.

Another alternative is the Urban Jurgensen One, definitely something different, no longer being made, but saw one at an AD recently and understand there are a few available.

Agree with Texasmade that the Czapek also looks very interesting, though I’ve not had the chance to see one yet.

And you should be able to get a discount on both of them.

I really like the Streamliners as an object, very organic and futuristic at the same time.

As a wristwatch, I'm not really sure though. :)
