Just to let you know that I never received any information from the publisher about the delay too.
First the pre-order was until August, then it was December. Is there any new news about the shipping date? 😀
I can't wait to open the package when it arrives. 😀

I, also ordered the book a little while ago and have heard nothing from the publishers. I don't necessarily mind waiting, but some information about the reason for the delay would have been appreciated. Rather worryingly, it now says on the publisher's site, expected delivery is May 2014. I hope they are erring on the side of caution!

I think it is important that regular updates are given to those who preordered and perhaps posted here also. It is only fair after getting a significant number of orders via this forum that the members here are updated regularly especially with a book that has now been delayed for several months.

I contacted the publisher a few days back. They replied with a short message in poor English saying that the book is a subscription (?), and that shipping is expected in May. No further explanation. Didn't make a lot of sense to me.

But I guess we will have to wait.
It is not my intention to make this a complain thread. I am very excited about the book and am looking forward to receiving it.
Maybe they could compensate the people that pre-ordered by sending signed copies by the authors. 😀

Normally the first copies should be ready second part of May, but as already explained, some parameters are totally out of the author's control.
BTW, I will be present on the editor/library stand on 1st day. We will be both there on Saturday and my co-author on Sunday and perhaps Monday. Of course, we will not remain the entire day on the stand...

My understanding is that on the first sample run the book came in a slightly less in kilos than AJTT, they are redoing it adding several more grams to make up the difference. 🙄
