New first post from a new member. His original "what is it worth' thread is gone now. I am hoping he at least introduces himself this time.

I've seen this in multiple Omega boutiques. It doesn't belong in the Air and Space Museum in Washington......lol

It`s a Speedmaster display stand. Missing the watch holder, and a little steel sign.

I’m not sure what the point of this thread is?

Are you trying to flog it?

In American, flog means to beat someone.

I don’t think he wants to kick it’s ass but he certainly wants to sell it here on the Omega Forum.

OF is a community of watch collectors. It is nice to introduce yourself when you join. That helps a lot.

Anyway, although nice at first sight, it's wrong in some details and only one of the astronauts should have red stripes on the space suit to identify the commander...
For Apollo 11 there was no issue as Armstrong made most of the photos and appears on only one taken by Aldrin during a panoramic...
Post-mission, going through the Apollo 12 lunar EVA photos, nor Alan Bean nor Pete Conrad could remember who was who on the images so the red stripes were introduced on Apollo 13... which didn't got to land on the Moon. Apollo 14 commander Alan Shepard was the first to wear the red stripes...

That's why the display in the Omega museum is wrong... a mannequin with red stripes white space suit name tag Armstrong...
Could be right if the name tag was Cernan ( or Shepard, Scott, Young ) with correct mission logo patch...
It looks like they will rectify this error in the renewed Omega museum in 2019
