Modern Moonwatch Bracelet Options

Hey All,

I've recently acquired a Speedy Tuesday 2 Ultraman, and I keep thinking about adding a bracelet. I'm not the biggest fan of the current Moonwatch bracelet, I much prefer the Ref. 1479 bracelet but I have no idea if it will fit.

From my understanding the Ultraman uses the current professional Moonwatch case so I'm wondering if anyone has experience fitting older bracelets to the current Moonwatch? I've seen posts where people have modified endlinks to fit, but I'm not interested in doing that, I'd like it to fit out of the box.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers!

Johnny

I currently have a 1498/840 on a modern Speedy Pro. I like that it tappers to 16. Good bracelet IMO.

I keep thinking I want to do this, but I'm not motivated by the idea the end links don't quite fit and require finding someone to file them down, and that whole thing. Makes me also wonder, even if you find someone to do that, if it will end up scratching the watch. Did you have any issues?

no issues and right out of the box no filing. That being said it wouldn’t hurt to have that done on mine and adjusted. As long as there is no movement I’d not worry about damage to the case.

This is the problem I'm facing. I must say I was surprised to find there wasn't any aftermarket bracelet options from the likes of strap code etc. Would be nice to have a vintage bracelet design & taper with the modern quality and the option to fit a nice older clasp.

It looks great but I'd be slightly bugged by the gap between the top of the end link and the lug I think.

So no issues but you still think it needs filing and adjustment? So then there are issues? Apologies, just a bit confused about what you mean LOL

No it’s looks fine, but would look better if fitted by a professional watch maker and not OB staff.

1479 would be great for the ST2. You can find some good photos of that combo on the Google machine. You may have to file the endlinks slightly, but if you have an Omega boutique nearby their technician can do that for you.

That's my favourite too, I have a 1499/842 which is the same thing and just picked up a half link for it yesterday which I had no idea even existed until this week.

Had no idea this was a serviced offered. Closest boutique is London which is a bit of a way for me though
