Based on your posts, you seem to be taking multiple positions on this at once, so I'm not really sure what you are after. You seem to want people to be able to make mods, but then criticize Omega for allowing it to happen. I'm not Omega, so I don't speak for them, so I was just replying to the hyperbole of your other post.

Honestly, I'm not after anything. I'm not pro mod or anti mod. People like to mod their watches, particularly Speedmasters, and maybe because there have been so many iterations over the years that lends itself to having a lot of permutations and combinations possible and past parts availability just made the cottage industry possible. Money drives many things in life. But it seems like the avenue for future mods is curtailed greatly with the current Omega policy for supplying parts.

There is a famous french writer who said (excuse for my poor translation): "an idiot dares anything... this is how you can recognize him..."

Wow, that was fast! Massive price and it even doesn’t come with the original Apollo-Soyuz box ::facepalm1::
No other Apollo-Soyuz watches available at this moment on C24. 14.000€ full sets two weeks ago were bargains then. 😲

It's even missing the enamel paint in the caseback...

Boxes come up for sale on occasion, from 600 to 1k. Warranty cards are more important. Lots of these are without boxes and papers. The boxes deteriorated like crazy so it's reasonable to see a different box.

Paint on rear did flake off on earlier casebacks. Omega might fix it.

Price is asking. It's not a terrible option if the price is negotiable (alot.) Never know.

I recently contacted Omega about getting a box for my AS and they said they did not.

The few used I have seen came out of Italy.

Omega has really clamped down on dials, hands, backs and other parts so maybe boxes fall into that strategy, too, to avoid having complete sets made-up. I had heard that the blue Silver Snoopy strap is not sold separately any longer either, but don't know if that has been confirmed. I wonder if we would ever get to the point where bracelets fall into the 'on exchange only' basis.

The one mentioned above for 21.000EUR is still available but the other one for 16.500EUR is reserved already. The price flies hiiiigh. And I'm not wondering. See how the watch looks like under the sunset rays...absolutely amazing. Got the watch for years but I was amazed today. Again.

The one from France for 29k€ doesn’t even come in original box. That’s utterly non sense.

Bought mine at the Paris boutique 5 years ago. Been a safe queen ever since. It's been taken to a few Omega events in Los Angeles. If anyone wants to offer me 29K I'll take it. 😁
Obligatory wrist shot.........

It's a great watch. The dial is so balanced and well designed. Something made of a meteorite could have been gaudy, tacky or just plain ugly. Not this watch. There's nothing out of place or overdone, or anything to add.

Just the dial is over 3k usd from Omega, if you could even buy it. It was always an undervalued watch. It deserved some appreciation, although what it is doing now is pure speculation tied to all the other madness.

But it's a great watch. Given a choice between this and a vintage GMT Master or other watches, i would pick the 35th AS every time.

I hope whoever buys these watches wears them and enjoys them.

Just bought this. It was Deke Slayton's and flew on the AS mission.

Edit: i wear mine in regular rotation. I was wearing it while remodeling the basement, although i felt a little guilty.

Got mine brand new in 2016. Was so surprised when I found it in stock at a shop that only had the standard version in the display cabinet. Asked if they had any more Speedmaster models in stock and the sales person went to check in their vault, and came back saying: I only found this, could this be of interest?

My heart almost stopped as this meteorite version was on my wish list and I never thought that I would find one for sale.

Exact same thing happened to me. The manager noticed I liked Speedmasters and said hang on a minute. Walked in the back and came out with the it. Said it had been sitting around for a couple of years. I was ::psy::.

What is new, now, is that it is not only desperate amateurs trying to sell at idiot prices, but now professional dealers enter the game... 27k€ on ch24, from a french pro.
What is this crazy behavior? How can you after that be called a "professional"?... It s really a shame.

Great times. I am hoping to set one up in Los Angels in the spring.
