Hi guys
I picked this up for a few $$$ because I lie the numeral style, yes a dirty old face but.....
Anyhow does any one know anything about who made the watch, it has Made in France in minuscule letters on the movement, apart from that nothing inside. Numbers 81243 on the case back. I'll get a pic of the movement tomorrow.

Cool. I just now finished watching an old episode of Dr Who and the four on this dial is very much like the four used on the doorway of a space ship of the future.

 

I bet the movement could be a Cupillard 233, mass produced from the 30s to at least the 70s with some variations (old, new, -60, -68, etc). Signed VC233 usually.

Considering the filth and rust in the movement the timekeeping isn't half bad!

 

I'll have a look through my reference stuff tomorrow and see if I can figure out the ebauche maker.
