I have come across several threads in the private sales forum where pictures and even price were removed after the listing was withdrawn. I thought the rules of using the FS forum require everything to remain in place - the rationale being that the information provided for sales are important to assess the market —and that this is the price we agree to pay for getting access to a free and trusted sales platform. Surely if that’s the rationale Withdrawn listings are to be preserved as all others? Here’s a few of those listings https://omegaforums.net/threads/196...ue-stardust-dial-serviced.84065/#post-1297120 https://omegaforums.net/threads/tudor-79090-79190.97568/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/withdrawn-omega-14714-with-a-unique-dial.98455/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/flat-link-bracelets-7077-1039-1067.93846/#post-1217176 Can the management please confirm my understanding was correct? It annoys me as well when people mark their items as "reduced" and simply put in a new price without leaving the original price for perspective.
2d, 3d and 5th deleted the whole listing, replaced by word "Withdrawn"! 4th has everything there for what I see.
"I thought the rules of using the FS forum require everything to remain in place." I was under the same impression. Such a rule compels an appealing transparency almost unique among internet sales venues. I do peruse the OmegaForums Market Place because ... ya' never know ... there might be a "real deal." It's a great opportunity for learning as well.
@Syrte The 2nd thread is a withdrawn Wanted to Buy listing. Agree with everything you say about Sale listings.
The bracelet listing was mine and I withdrew them without making a sale. I did read the rules “DO NOT DELETE THE LISTING OR THE PRICE WHEN SOLD” and couldn’t see anything wrong with deleting it. If I have however broken the rules I’m more than happy for a mod to restore the photos and text.
"I did read the rules “DO NOT DELETE THE LISTING OR THE PRICE WHEN SOLD” and couldn’t see anything wrong with deleting it." Brilliant deduction.
