I'd like to dedicate a thread in praise of those mongrel speedmasters with unoriginal parts, incorrect bezels that remain undeniably attractive...( at least to their owners!)

I'll start with my recent incoming 145.022 with service dial , luminova hands over polished case etc etc

I know everyone loves barn found untouched one owner pedigree examples but if your budget doesn't stretch and you love these watches let's revel in their eccentricities...

Personally, I think ALL Speedmasters are misfits whether original or not.

Besides, unless it's the white panda model, white Alaska, or one of the blue limited editions, they all look alike anyway. DON or DNN..... who gives a ?

 

Speaking of misfits...

 

Just imagine : if every member donated $0.50, we could buy @ulackfocus a speedmaster...

I’ll submit my misfit. Although, I have most of the original parts in a drawer and it seems the lume was long gone from the final when I got it, I’m happier with this look.

 

OP, no reason to flinch, buy what you like within your budget and enjoy the hobby.
